The kids got out of school last Thursday and Friday afternoon we pointed the motorhome to Dunn, NC to visit family. The trip is about 5 hours and was our longest trip so far. I am happy to say that it was uneventful and we made it without incident. We arrived late Friday night and had dinner at Cracker Barrel.

For the most part we have spent our spring break simply hanging out with family. Saturday we headed over to Sherry’s Bakery for a hamburger and dessert. After eating Polly and my mom headed to the outlet malls for some shopping. I held the recliner down while taking a nap:) Sunday we headed to church and then I worked on the motorhome all afternoon. I washed the motorhome then did some maintenance by checking and caulking the roof and sides. I was exhausted by the end of the day.

Monday I went to visit my 91 year old Grandmother in the nursing home. It was certainly good to see her again. Later that night we had dinner with the Faircloths who are really good friends of ours. You may remember them from our Myrtle Beach Trip last summer.

We are now planning to leave Wednesday morning and head to Myrtle Beach, SC for the rest of the week.  We are taking my mom who has never done anything resembling camping before so this should be interesting.  We will bring her back to Dunn on Saturday and then head back to the Asheville area on Sunday.  I will post more pictures of our Myrtle Beach trip when we get back.

It will be interesting to see how your mom does. Hope you guys have a great time.

  2. So far mom is doing ok. Better than she thought she would. She was happy that she got to shop all day. We gave her our bedroom so she has her own space in the motorhome.

  3. It looks like you guys are having the time of your lives. It’s good to see all are doing well. Carson looks like he has grown so much. Give Carson, Zachery and Miss Polly a great big huge from the Ingle Family. We miss seeing you all at church. Please come by the church sometime when you are in town. It would be great to see you. I will keep tabs on you through The Godwin Family Adventure website. Take care and God be with you all.

    Love,
    Roy, Debbie and Nicole Ingle
