Jenney's Grist MillOn Sunday, June 28th, our drive from CT to MA should have been uneventful since we planned out our route before leaving CT. We did not take into account that we would not be able to drive across the Pawtucket Bride which caused a long detour around Providence RI. We did however get the chance to ride through the heart of Providence, RI allowing us to see the city.

We arrived in the Cape Cod area around 3:30 pm at the Bourne Scenic Park. If you have read our previous post you will know what happened at this point with my head. After dealing with all that for a couple days we actually managed to get out and enjoy our time in Cape Cod.  After resting from my head injury for a few hours we got out on Monday and went biking down the Cape Cod Canal bike path which was a really nice paved bike trail down the banks of the canal.  There were boats passing through as we were riding and people fishing along the banks.

On Tuesday we got up and went to Plymouth, MA to do a little history tour of the area.  While in Plymouth we looked at the Mayflower II, Plymouth Rock and other historical sites.  We mostly just walked around the town enjoying the day.  We stayed only about 3-4 hours and then headed back to our campground.  We decided to eat at the motorhome that night instead of spending money eating out.

On Wednesday, July 1st,  we packed everything up and left Cape Cod.  We were only in the area for 2 full days and did not really get to experience much Cape Cod has to offer.  There were several other areas I would have liked to visit but we had to leave for the reservations we had made for the July 4th weekend.
