2007 Holiday Rambler Ambassador

In January 2009 we purchased our 2007 Holiday Rambler Ambassador (made by Monaco Coach).  It is a 40′ diseal pusher with 3 slides.  One of the slides is a full wall slide which gives a larger amount of living space in the coach.  We chose this motorhome for several reasons.  One good feature is that it has a bath and a half.  This will make the waiting in line for a toilet not a problem.  It also has a pretty large storage area under the motorhome for carrying all our stuff.  This floor plan is excellent for our family.

The coach has a 330 hp Cummins diesel which hopefully will be large enough.  There is a 6 speed Allison transmission.  Luckily the coach has an 8 air bag system which makes the ride very smooth. So far the quality of the unit appears to be pretty good.

Our Traditional House

We sold our “stick and brick” home for now.  It is 1900 sq. ft. which has been the perfect size for our family.  We are happy that a nice family has purchased the home and we hope they enjoy it as much as we have.

Our Previous Travel Trailer

Our previous camper was a 1995 Fleetwood Pegasus travel trailer.  We purchased it in February 2008 from Tom Johnson Camping Center. It was a good camper and very dependable.  The camper is 29′ (actually only about 27′ on the inside) which has been just enough space for us on our short trips.  We know that we will need to trade this one in before we are able to go extended lengths of time on the road.
We pulled the camper with our 2004 Nissan Titan Crew Cab.  It did a really good job pulling a light weight camper like this.

Our First Camper

We started with a 1998 Coleman Grandview.  We purchased it in May 2002 from Tom Johnson Camping Center. This was a very nice popup.  It had 2 king size beds, frig, indoor and outdoor stove, sink, toilet, shower and A/C.  This was a great upgrade from our tent.  We had the popup for about 6 years.
